If you own a bakery, and you are trying to get more customers to come to your shop, then you most definitely need to make sure you have created your “Google My Business” listing.
You might have done this before under Google Places, or Google Local. Those have been merged into Google My Business now. They’ve streamlined it all, and made it easy for your customers to connect with you Google Search, Google Maps, and Google+.
This means that you’ll come up higher in search results, and getting turn-by-turn navigation to your bakery is super easy and will get your bakery on Google.
Just head over tohttps://www.google.com/business/and click on the blue “Get on Google” button.
It will have you sign in. If you have an existing gmail.com or Google Apps for Business account, you can use it if you want. If you don’t, then just click on “Create an account” to create a new account.
If you create an account, then you just fill in your information, and click ‘create my account’ then ‘back to google business’
After that, you’ll be taken to a page with a big map to search for your business.
If it finds your business, then just click on it to continue. If not, then click on “None of these match”
From there, you just fill in your business information.
Make Sure You Verify!
You’ll also be asked to verify your listing. This can be down with a postcard that Google will mail to you and/or a phone call. Make sure you do these steps! Verified listings perform way better in search results! With these steps you will get your bakery on Google for everyone to find.
